Why do I have to download a free version of Microsoft Silverlight 5 when choosing a template?
Our Online Designer runs with this free program, Microsoft Silverlight 5. Simply click "yes" when prompted to download when entering our Designer for the first time.

Why will my photo not upload?
The reason it will not upload is usually because the file is too large. We have a 15 mb limit per image that can be uploaded. If the file is larger than that, then you need to open the file in 'Paint' and resize to 50% of the original. If this does not work, keep repeating the process. If there is still no success please email us, under the contact us page. Please note: You will not lose any image quality when you do this.

What size is my newspaper?
Each page of your newspaper is considered 289mm wide and 360mm high. Your pdf’s must meet these requirements if you are uploading your own pdf's from your own publishing program. Our Designer calculates this for you automatically. You must send your pdf’s in one file, and each page must be separately 289mm wide and 360mm high. Learn more about our Printing Specfications Here.

How fast will I get my newspapers?
That depends on your option for shipping, though normally our printing is finished within 5 working days. Options will show up on your order form.

Are these newspapers printed on different paper to normal newspapers?
No. All our newspapers are printed on newsprint with either digital or web-offset industrial printing presses, just like any local or national newspaper. Contact us for information regarding our Hi-Brite paper service, for a brighter whiter paper.

How large a PDF file can I upload to order my newspaper?
There is no maximum size of PDF. If you have a very large file though and want to order a newspaper, please contact us and we'll help you place your order. Also, be aware than images larger than 15 MB cannot be uploaded into our Designer Please visit "Why will my photo not upload" for help.

Will I be charged VAT?
It depends. Generally for newspapers and similar publications, no VAT is charged, but it's not always clear cut. For example menu cards and stationery are subject to VAT. If you're not too sure, please let us know and we'll try to help.
